How much does a house clearance or property clearance service cost?

 

This is one of our most frequently asked questions – clearing a home is an important process and our clients want to understand how much it will cost them.

At Brisbane Estate Clearance we provide one fixed-price upfront quote which covers all of our services and all associated costs, no hidden surprises. 

Our quotes are based on the amount of items to be removed, we don’t charge by the hour but instead calculate our quotes upfront based on the size of the clearance. 

Our overall fees for a complete clearance on average are about 2/3 of the cost of hiring a skip bin to remove the same amount of items.  

 

For one fixed price our service can include all of the following:

  • Sorting, packing and removal of all movable items from inside the property, in any outbuildings and in the garden. 
  • Removal and responsible disposal of any junk / rubbish on the property.
  • Expert identification of sellable / valuable items by an experienced antique dealer and licensed second-hand dealer. 
  • Management of the sale of items by experts familiar with the Brisbane market. We charge no commission on the sale of items whether items are sold at auction or through private sale. Managing the sale of items is a service included in our fixed-price quote. 
  • All the smaller tasks taken care of – returning any hired equipment in the home, organising charitable donations, picking up and dropping off keys, etc.
  • All costs included in one upfront quote including all labour, all transport costs, all disposal fees, all administration costs, all packing materials and other equipment.  

How our offer of credit works:  

  • For people whose priority is to keep the cost of the clearance as low as possible, Brisbane Estate Clearance can offer to purchase items directly from the estate.  The offered purchase price is subtracted from the clearance bill, helping you to save money. 
  • Items we often buy include antique and vintage furniture, antique and collectable smaller household items, some garden items, rock and shell collections, electronic items, white goods, rare books and ephemera and more. [ Please Note: we do not buy modern items of furniture. We are happy to take modern furniture to auction for you, however we cannot offer credit for modern furniture of any type.].
